Privacy Policy

pow2 (www.pow2.io) is operated and published by Indeptus Entertainment ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect when you play, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Guest profile. When you first play, we create an anonymous player profile with a randomly generated display name. A signed token identifying that profile is kept in your browser's local storage.
- Game data. Scores, game mode, run timing and leaderboard placements for the runs you finish.
- Sign-in (optional). If you sign in with Google, we store the account ID Google gives us and your profile picture URL, so we can link your scores to that account. We don't receive or store your password, and we don't store your email address.
- Display name. If you rename yourself, we store the new name. It's shown publicly on the leaderboard.
- Technical data. Like most websites, our servers receive your IP address, browser type and request details. We use IP addresses briefly for rate limiting and abuse prevention. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs.
- How you found us and play activity. When your guest profile is created, we note where your first visit came from (for example a search engine, a shared link or an ad campaign tag in the link), and we record when you start runs and whether you retry or share the Daily Challenge. We use this only as anonymous totals to see which features and sources keep players coming back.
- Local settings. Your personal best scores are stored only in your browser's local storage.
How we use information
- To run the game and the weekly leaderboards.
- To keep your scores linked to your profile and, if you sign in, across devices.
- To prevent cheating, spam and abuse.
- To understand, as anonymous totals, how players find the game and which modes they come back to.
- To show advertising that keeps the game free (see below).
We don't sell your personal information.
Advertising and cookies
We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and other third-party vendors use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.
- Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
If you arrive from a TikTok ad, the TikTok Pixel on our game page tells TikTok that you visited, so we can measure how well our ads work. TikTok may use cookies for this under its own privacy policy. The TikTok Pixel is switched off for visitors in Europe (the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), so it sends nothing about them.
We use Google Analytics to understand how players use pow2: which pages they visit, which modes they play, how runs end and what gets shared. Google Analytics uses cookies for this under Google's own privacy policy. For visitors in Europe (the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), it sets no cookies and sends only anonymous, cookieless measurements.
If you're in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you'll be asked for consent before personalised ads or advertising cookies are used. You can change your choice at any time from the privacy settings link shown by the consent message.

Data retention
Weekly leaderboards are kept for about eight weeks and then deleted. Player profiles are kept while they're in use. You can ask us to delete your profile and scores at any time (see below). To remove data stored in your browser, clear this site's data in your browser settings.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, or to object to or restrict how we use it. To make a request, email us at the address below. If you're in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
pow2 isn't directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you think a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
